Institutional ownership of all revenues is important to communicate to all members of the athletics staff. This practice does not prevent the institution from creating a policy or practice that allows units that raise or generate funds to retain those funds in whole or in part. Most institutions, including athletics programs, have those policies and practices in place. It is important to understand the use of generated funds lies with the institution, not the program or individual generating the revenues."
