These forested wetlands, particularly hardwood swamps and adjacent upland-forest edges, provide the large-diameter trees and contiguous canopy structure barred owls require for nesting and foraging. During our August 2025 field survey, no cavities with evidence of recent use (whitewash, pellets, prey remains or feathers) were observed on-site. The site, however, contains both mature canopy cover and appropriate aquatic features. Therefore, it is the opinion of DuBois that the site, and surrounding wetland areas contains suitable barred owl foraging habitat."

"text": "The NJDEP Bureau of Air Monitoring operated 3 ambient air monitoring stations. The stations vary in the number and type of monitors operating at each site. The NJDEP air monitoring program is primarily focused on the measurement of pollutants for which NAAQS have been established, also known as criteria pollutants. Criteria pollutant monitoring is regulated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), which prescribes the design and siting of the monitoring networks, the acceptable monitoring methods, and the minimum quality assurance activities. Only data which meet USEPA requirements can be used to determine compliance with the NAAQS. There are six criteria air pollutants: carbon monoxide (CO), lead (Pb), nitrogen dioxide (NO[p22.12.1]), ozone (O[p22.12.2]), sulfur dioxide (SO[p22.12.3]), and particulate matter (PM).",
