"text": "The Parks and Recreation Department serves a critical role in driving financial return for the Township's Earned Income Tax Revenue (\"EIT\") and Real Estate Tax Revenues. EIT Revenues are anticipated to make up over 30% of Township Revenues in 2024. Investments in the Parks and Recreation Department can enhance the Township's ability to offer world-class recreational amenities and serve as a catalyst to attract working professionals. In addition, parks and green spaces often have a positive impact on real estate value and can positively impact the Township's Real Estate Tax Revenues.\nAccording to the Township's 2024 Budget, the Parks and Recreation Department expenses makes up only about 4.4% of the Township's planned expenses. Despite the Department's relatively small portion of expenses, making intentional increased investments as a municipal organization can be challenging."
