The council maintains a Local List of non-designated heritage assets and up-to-date Conservation Area character appraisals and management plans. Further non-designated heritage asset can be identified as part of the development of the Local Plan and Neighbourhood Plan, through Conservation Area reviews and through the development management process. Planning applications must include relevant details to inform the council's considerations in this regard, including a desk-based assessment (including field evaluation as necessary) wherever a heritage asset is of archaeological interest.",
