Guest Fariba Bigdeli, a member of the committee, explained the process for selecting members: Moffett had sent an email to all faculty, requesting volunteers. The membership represented all the schools. Moffett then asked the Faculty Senate to provide ideas/concerns/suggestions about the reorganization for the committee to consider. The committee met several times. They tried to consult most of the university faculty, chairs and deans to get their opinions on the reorganization. Their report includes summaries of interviews with all the chairs. Bigdeli advised Senators to read the entire report, and then she gave the following summary:"
