            "text": "President Sias discussed federal legislation that would have an impact upon the university, including cuts to Title III for Fiscal Year 2012. Additionally, Pell Grants have decreased (from summer semester). President Sias believes that the Pell Grant program may change. She further discussed the possible changes to the program, including increasing the number of credit hours for full-time status from 12-15; lowering the total number of semesters that students would be eligible for financial assistance; and acceptable degree completion (completing a degree within 4-5 years with satisfactory academic progress with a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester.) President Sias stated that the changes to the Pell Grant program will affect postsecondary education across the board and she will be following the proposals closely and speaking to public officials about her concerns."
