Mathematics department developed MAT 176, Accelerated College Algebra, as a pilot course to accommodate the students who do not meet the benchmarks for MAT 115. The course includes the same topics as MAT 115. The intermediate algebra concept required is covered at the beginning of the semester and is also covered with the topic on an as needed and just-in-time bases. The course has had a higher success rate than MAT 115.
