If a milestone objective has not been satisfactorily met, the chair shall notify the chair in writing. The chair may recommend the faculty member continue with the development plan or may recommend a sanction. If a sanction is recommended, the chair shall forward the recommendation and the report to the dean. The recommendation of sanction shall then follow steps 5-8 below.",
