            "text": "COUNCIL PRESIDENT KERN- COMMENTS- Tonight we have two Presentations and the Mayor will have two Proclamations. For the past two years I’ve witnessed a number of new hires and promotions within the Police Department at the beginning of Council meetings and then after they and their families have all left I’ve said wonderful things about the men and women who make our Police Department to a half empty room. Well tonight I get to speak before they leave thanked each and every member in our Police Department for all that you do; keeping us safe. This Council stated that our Police Department is second to none in the State of New Jersey. Our officers care about our community and our residents in our Town. Just this past year there have been a number of situations handled with unparalleled professionalism resulting in resolution to situation that that could have gone very bad. Thanked the families of the Police Officers to allow their loved ones to leave their homes to protect ours."
