Mr. Egan stated every time he's tried to question him in the past he's been jumped on just like anyone else that tried to pin him. Ms. Updegrave told Mr. Egan he didn't know the arguments or conversations she and other Council members have had with the Mayor and that they were all equally frustrated. Mr. Egan stated they should change the Administrative Code or do something to throw him out of office."

He reminded Council of a meeting where he read a list of all their powers as Town Council members to institute, invest, demand and report on matters relating to the Township. He knows their frustrations but they have more power than what they’ve done. No resolution passed to demand a report, investigation or to demand a report from department heads. He said they wouldn’t need an OPRA request and all they needed to do was call each department head and ask for it. He suggested they look at the Administrative Code and he offered to come back in two weeks to read it to them. Ms. Updegrave stated she regularly calls each department but she doesn’t have the authority to do anything under the current form of government. Mr. Mayerowitz stated they’ve had more power than they’ve chosen to exercise."

Council Vice President Gudaitis stated he was unaware of the injuries and confirmed French & Parrello was the engineering firm that designed the fields. Mr. Glacer stated they take the kids off the fields for a half hour because of the problem."

"text": "MICHAEL HOFFMAN-6 TOSHI COURT: He asked Council President Updegrave about her statement regarding arguments she's had with the Mayor. She refused to discuss it at first and then stated EMS was one issue and another was an item he wanted to put on the Agenda that she stopped. Councilwoman Ingram stated gypsy moth was an area she investigated and presented to the Mayor. Ms. Updegrave stated how frustrated it was to hear she did nothing when nobody knows how much she tried to do but didn't get anywhere. She stated she was on the radio about the Building Department because she wasn't in agreement with the Mayor's proposal. Councilwoman Ingram asked what the purpose of his questions were at this point? He stated he was interested in the checks and balances and until the election on Tuesday he hadn't heard or read anything by Council that they've taken the Mayor to ask about anything. Councilman Martin stated just because they haven't made a public display does not mean they haven't had disagreements. Mr. Hoffman stated the public needed to know they've had disagreements or arguments even though they may not have won but it would be important to the public to see they've challenged the Mayor and they were not just puppets of the Republic Department and not waiting until after an election to hear there were problems. He stated he wasn't asking them to fight but show the public there is a check and balance system. Ms. Updegrave stated the Mayor tried to get something on the agenda and called her at her place of business and she explained to him she would need more information so she could review it in black and white and provide Council with copies and he wasn't very happy about that. She stated things like that come up and it would be dead issue before it became a public issue. Councilwoman Ingram stated several problems were prevented because of their communications. He addressed Ms. Ingram about a question posed to her to rate the Mayor's performance that she refused to answer then but if she had answered it, as he believed she would today, she may have prevailed in the election. She agreed."

She just didn't understand why it was allowed to go on so long?
