The forest off site to the west contains suitable habitat for the northern pine snake and will remain intact post-construction. In addition, the forested freshwater wetlands located off site to the west are suitable for timber snake and will remain after construction. Therefore, it is the opinion of DuBois that the property does not exhibit components of habitat for any of the listed species mapped on and in the vicinity of the property."

"text": "Potential impacts to wildlife are minimized through avoidance of regulated wetland areas, restoration of previously disturbed buffer zones, and limitation of construction disturbance to defined work areas. All permanent improvements are confined to previously developed portions of the site, preserving adjacent wetland and buffer habitats that provide higher quality wildlife resources. Previously disturbed buffer areas are restored and revegetated to improve habitat structure, reduce edge disturbance, and enhance connectivity with surrounding natural areas. Construction activities are managed to limit unnecessary vegetation clearing, soil disturbance, and nighttime lighting outside approved work zones, reducing disturbance to wildlife movement and behavior. Disturbed areas are stabilized promptly following construction to reestablish vegetative cover and reduce long-term habitat disruption. These measures support continued wildlife use of adjacent habitats and minimize short-term construction-related disturbance."

Based on these records, occurrences for the threatened or endangered species are documented within the local area (refer to Figure 13: Landscape Project (v3.4) Map for a depiction of local habitat polygons and refer to Appendix C for a copy of the NHP correspondence). The search did not identify any documented rare plant species, rare ecological communities, or Natural Heritage Priority Sites located directly on the project parcel. No vernal pool habitat or mapped rare stream habitat was identified on site."
