Mr. Thompson said in the S & W account, there has been a $500.00 increase in wages. Committeeman Krakower commended Mr. Olejarz for being aggressive in his Grant Applications. Mr. Olejarz said in the O & E account, there will be approximately a $5,000.00 change, as the department had to put $4,200.00 back in this year's General Fund for telephones that were never purchased. Committeeman Krakower asked if this Department anticipated needing any additional equipment. Mr. Olejarz said to eliminate some expenses, he said he requested computers from the Building Department after they make their transfer along with purchasing one enhanced computer for working with the server. Committeeman Kafton asked why the funds for signs doubled which Mr. Olejarz explained."

Mr. Thompson said that the Assessor asked for less money this year than last year, which has been complied with. Mr. Raftery explained the reason for the reduction is because it had been anticipated that the services of an outside appraiser would be needed with the addition of the water park at Great Adventure. Discussion then turned to the condition of the roof and ceiling in his office. Deputy Mayor Broderick informed Mr. Thompson that he asked Mr. Polizzi and Mr. Cattonar to purchase an air exchanger with a charcoal filter for this office until the repairs could be made."

"text": "Seeing Mr. Campbell present, Maintenance of Taxes was reviewed. There will be no change in Personnel. Advertising of Tax Sales was taken out of General Advertising. It is usually broken out in two categories, Foreclosure and Tax Sale Advertising. Foreclosures did not take place last year, but the attorney estimated it would cost of $2,000.00 plus; the Observer is to call back with a quote. The Tax Sale Advertising has been done with the Asbury Park Press in the past; to be more cost effective, the Tri-Town News will be used this year provided that the only criteria is that it be a local paper. Areas to be looked at include if these ads have to be in an official newspaper and in the County. If the Tri-Town cannot be used, they will use the Observer. Training Aid has been increased to $1,875.00 from $1,000.00, as two staff members will be taking two courses. Mr. Campbell said the largest item in the Budget is the Contractual Services for Foreclosures. Ones in progress will continue as started, the next phase will begin at the end of the year in order to make payment next year. This year's tax collection percentage was 97.42; if there were no Township liens, it would have been in the 97.7% range. The Committee congratulated Mr. Campbell regarding his position with the State."
