            "text": "The Council is the GPhC's governing body and is appointed by the Privy Council. It sets the strategic direction and objectives for the organisation, in line with its statutory objectives. It monitors the organisation's performance, and that of the senior leadership group. It also safeguards the organisation's assets and makes sure its financial affairs are run properly."
