There are two full positions and one alternate position available on the Zoning Board. Anyone interested can give their resume to the Clerk’s Office. Clerk Eden, stated, the appointment would have to be done at the June 23rd meeting. Council President Kafton noted that on Tuesday, June 16th from 12 to 2 pm, the prescription bus will be at the Jackson Library for the uninsured and financially struggling people needing pharmaceuticals. This is sponsored by the Pharmaceutical Corporation of America, and I’d like to see that on our website. Council Woman Updegrove asked if we could we also have the soccer game on the website, it’s Saturday, not Sunday. Council President Kafton mentioned we have a rather long evening we’ll try to get through everything as quick as we can."

He acknowledges the 65th Anniversary of D-Day. Regarding the Open Space Ordinance adopted in 2006 which is extremely important to me and the Township of Jackson, the way it is written is inappropriate and I’m calling upon Council to introduce a Resolution authorizing a Referendum on the Open Space Tax to correct this problem before it has a negative impact upon our taxes. This will save the average person $50.00 a year which offsets the average tax increase. I urge Council to make this a priority."
